Notes - Obituary:
SHREVEPORT - Services for Mr. Johnny Merle Jones, 54, of Shreveport will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday October 14, 1986, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel with the Rev. Loyd Hughes, pastor of Belle Park Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Jones died Sunday October 12, 1986, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was a native of Denton, Texas and had lived in Shreveport for the past 42 years. He was co-owner of Southern Maid Donuts, Inc., a member of the Fair Park Masonic Lodge and El Karubah Shrine Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Crnkovic Jones; his mother, Dannie Jones Ford; two sons, Michael A. Jones, Donald K. Jones; three daughters, Karen Hughes, Carla Hanson and Lori Jones, all of Shreveport.
Close friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital.
