Anthony "Tony" Privat and Jeraldine "Jerry" McBride are on South Adams Avenue in front of McBride's Pharmacy in the early 1940s. Farmers Cafe is in the background on the right, and to the far left is the Sinclair gas station. It was later a Canal station for many years and is now Cal's Electric. Jeraldine Raymond
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church for Jeraldine McBride Raymond, 73, who died at her residence. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen from Rayne and Walter Raymond from Lafayette; one daughter, Mary Ann Bush of Rayne; one sister, Robin Alvandian of New Haven, Conn. and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Raymond was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Rayne Garden Club, La. Retired Teachers Association and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Gossen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Services Held Saturday For Jeraldine Raymond
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 23, 1995 at 2 p.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Jeraldine McBride Raymond, 73, who died at her residence Friday morning, December 22.
Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Raymond of Rayne and Walter Raymond of Lafayette; a daughter, Mary Ann Bush of Rayne; a sister, Robin Alvandian of New Haven, Conn. and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Raymond was a teacher in the Acadia Parish public school system for many years.
Mrs. Raymond was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Rayne Garden Club, La. Retired Teachers Association and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of arrangements.
