MRS. NELLIE V. WALDEN
EDCOUCH - Mrs. Nellie V. Walden, 101, died at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday in Knapp Memorial Methodist Hospital. A resident of the Valley since 1926, she moved to Edcouch about 1938. She was a native of Woodville, Tex.
Survivors include a sister, Eva Howland of Beaumont; a brother, Jack Goolsbee of Tyler; a granddaughter, Janet Hilliard of Houston; a grandson, Lynn McBride Jr. of Houston; and a great-granddaughter, Courtney Hilliard of Houston.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Highland Memorial Park. The Rev. Tom Church of Edcouch, will officiate.

MRS. NELLIE V. WALDEN
EDCOUCH - Graveside services for Mrs. Nellie V. Walden, 101, were held at 1:30 p.m. today in Highland Memorial Park. The Valley resident since 1926 died at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday in Knapp Memorial Methodist Hospital.
Officiating at the services was Rev. Tom Pugh, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Edcouch. McCaleb Funeral Home of Weslaco was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two granddaughters not included in the original list, Mrs, Sonya Rhodes of Dallas and Mrs. Suzie Fogarty of Houston; and a daughter-in-law, Mrs., Jan McBride of Brownsville. She was preceded in death by a son, H. Lynn McBride of Brownsville, in 1972.
