Notes - Obituary:
Mrs. J. L. Spence Dead
Mrs. J. L. Spence of North Jonesboro died at her home yesterday morning, Thus the last smallpox victim is released by death instead of the health board.
Mrs. Spence had been ill for two weeks, and was thought to be doing very well. In fact it was hoped that she would be able to be up and released from quarantine within a few days, but she grew worse and died as stated.
We extend our sincere sympathy to this bereaved and stricken family.

In the death of Mrs. J. L. Spence of North Jonesboro on Monday night, the city loses one of its best women. She was subject to heart trouble and smothering spells, and being afflicted with smallpox the end was not unexpected. She was buried Tuesday morning. Mrs. Spence was a splendid woman, who will be greatly missed by a large circle of dear friends. Her little daughter, who is about ready for the immune list, is the last case of smallpox in Jonesboro.
