  Obituary: GERMAN SEARCY GERMAN, 74. died Wednesday December 30, 1998. Preceded in death by brother, Johnnie L. German. Member of Forest Cove Baptist Church. Past President of Northeast Houston Rotary Club, present member of Humble International Rotary. He was a member of Rotary for 36 years. Member of Houston Masonic Lodge and of the Scottish Rite Bodies. Past President of Texas Assn. of Assessing Officers. International Assessing Officers. He was deputy tax Assessor for Harris Co; tax assessor for Northeast Houston ISD, tax assessor for Humble ISD, Chief appraiser for Harris Co. appraisal district. He was a very avid supporter of Equal Taxation and active in fund raising for Boy Scouts, YMCA, and Baptist Youth Camp. Searcy wanted to be remembered that he loved children and children loved him. Survived by wife of 52 years, Eleanor German, Houston. Daughter, Vicki Denise and husband Kerry Guy Roper, Kingwood. Sons: Johnnie and wife Christina German, Humble, Richard (Rick) Boyd German, Pampa, TX. Grandchildren: Rise Roper Vaughan, Humble. Pvt. Johnnie C. German, Hawaii and Laura German, Humble. Great grandson: Chase Alexander Vaughan. Brother, Melder N. German, Houston. Funeral services 11:00 AM Saturday January 2, 1998 Forest Cove Baptist Church (22770 US. 59 North) with Rev. Chuck Oak and Dr. Tom Fritts officiating. Interment Rosewood Memorial Park. Visitation 5:00 to 9:00 PM Thursday and Friday at Rosewood Funeral Home.
