Earl McIntyre Dies in Denison
Mr and Mrs. J.B. McIntyre were called to Denison, Friday, May 23, due to the death of his brother, Earl S. McIntyre, 71, who died at his home following a heart attack.
He had lived in Denison for 47 years and had been in ill health for a number of years.
Survivors include his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Frank Scofield of Denison; one brother, J.B. of Bowie; five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Leonard and Mrs. Vera Rogers of Wichita Falls; Mrs. Virginia Blaskowsky of Weslaco; Mrs. Velma Hearne of Piermont, Calif., and Mrs. Beth Halston of Texarkana; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Johnson-Moore Chapel in Denison with the Rev. J.F. Ellison officiating. Mr. McIntyre was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery. Graveside services was conducted by Odd Fellows Lodge. Mr. and Mrs. McIntyre would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August along with a family reunion here in Bowie at the J.B. McIntyre home.
