      James Waters

      James "Buster" Waters, 66, of Port Arthur died Friday at his home after an illness.

      He was a native of Tulsa, Okla., and lived in the Port Arthur area since 1937. He retired as a carpenter with Texaco in Port Arthur after 35 years of service and was a member of the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Local 4-23.

      Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

      Survivors include two sisters, Mary Shoopman of Wagner, Okla., and Irene Turner of Tulsa; and several nieces and nephews.
