  Obituary: Allen O. Whitted Allen O. Whitted of Chiefland died Monday at his home. He was 68. Mr. Whitted was born in Lansing, Mich., and moved to this area from Elmira, N.Y., 14 years ago. He was a retired brick mason. He was a member of Chiefland Golf and Country Club. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannie Swendson. Survivors include his wife, Rosanne Whitted of Chiefland; daughters Tammie Sue Lewis of New Orleans and Donna Carpenter of Kinard, La.; sons Allen Thomas Whitted of New Orleans and Jason M. Sine of Yellow Springs, Ohio; a sister, Dorothy Sage of South Florida; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home in Chiefland.
