A native of Lake Charles, La. and a resident of Algiers, La. She was 43. Ms. Swendsen was born in Lake Charles and lived in Algiers. Survivors include her companion, Kelly Scioneaux; two sons, Christopher Bryan and Eric Ryan Swendsen; her father, Allen O. Whitted; her mother, Mae Dell McBride Coleman; her stepfather, Addley B. Coleman; her stepmother, Rose Whitted; two brothers, Allen Whitted and Patrick Shea; and three sisters, Donna Carpenter, Tammie Lewis and Angela Adams. A funeral will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 West Bank Expressway, Harvey. Visitation will be at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park.
