  Obituary: RAYNE - Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at a Mass of Christian Burial for Frank Edward Privat, 75, who died Thursday, June 23, at Encore Nursing Home in Crowley. Interment was in the Leger Cemetery in Rayne. Surviving are his wife, Eva Thibodeaux Privat of Rayne; two daughters, Julie Privat Wells, Stephanie Privat Nini and husband David; four step-daughters, Sara Leon, Laura Fontenot and husband Ben, Wynette Daigle and husband Taite, Shelly Coleman and husband Brandon; son, Joseph Privat and wife Melissa; two step-sons, Brian Leon and wife Roxanne, David Leon; 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth Privat and wife Brenda. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Edwin Privat; mother, Letitia Duos Privat; and great-grandchild, Bailey Leon. Frank worked for the Rayne Police Department for 20 years and was a member of American Legion in Rayne and of the Knights of Columbus in Rayne. A rosary was recited on Sunday, June 26, at 6 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne. Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., on Sunday, June 26, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Monday, June 27, from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Friends may view the obituary and guestbook online at www.gossenfuneralhome.net.
