Notes - Obituary:
LAKE CHARLES - Funeral services for Mr. Edward James Moriarty, 72, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Immaculate Conception Cathedral here with burial in Highland Memory Gardens.
The Rev. Roger Quibuyen will conduct the services.
Mr. Moriarty, a native of Lake Charles and lived in Texas most of his life before moving back to Lake Charles in 1990 after his retirement, died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 1995, at his residence. He retired from Valero Entergy after 25 years of service as a communication engineer. Mr. Moriarty attended Texas A & M and was in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral.
Survivors include: three sons, David Wayne Moriarty of Corpus Christi, Texas, Leslie James Moriarty of Lake Charles and Allan Edward Moriarty of San Antonio, Texas; a grandchild; and three brothers, George L. Moriarty and Ricahrd T. Moriarty, both of Lake Charles, and William D. Moriarty of Sulphur.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:30-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m .Thursday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles is in charge of arrangements.
