      BECK

      EDWIN J. BECK died Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Denton at the age of 78. He is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Lillian Beck and son, Michael Beck. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Fletcher Beck of Denton and son Patrick and wife Tracy Beck of Denton.

      He was a member of the Catholic Church; a 1948 graduated of St. Thomas High School in Houston and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. He worked with the Boy Scouts of America with sons attaining rank of Eagle Scout. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier with 30 years of service.

      Graveside service will be Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
