      LITTLE CHILD BURNED TO DEATH

Logansport, La., Jan. 6. - I.C., the little 9-year-old daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J.T. Houston, of this place, was so badly burned yesterday evening that she died last night.

The child was playing in the yard when she got too close to some trash that was being burned and her clothing caught on fire and before the flames could be extinguished she had been so severely burned that medical aid was of no benefit.

The little remains were interred in the city cemetery here this afternoon.
