Notes - Obituary:
BENTON, LA. - Services for Mr. Chauncey R. "Chance" Parker, 75, of Benton, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday May 6 at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel in Shreveport. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport.
Mr. Parker died Thursday May 2, 1985, near Benton in an accident. He was born in Waterville, Ohio and had been a resident of the Shreveport-Benton area for fifteen years. Mr. Parker was a self-employed land developer and real estate broker. He was Presbyterian.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joella Parker of Benton; four sons, Tom Parker of New York City, Harry Parker of Toledo, Ohio, Steve Parker of Benton and Chauncey Parker IV of Salerno Beach, Calif.; two step-sons, Michael W. Manning and Thomas W. Manning, of Shreveport; one daughter, Judianne Rutkowski of Toledo, Ohio; one sister, Betty Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother, James Parker of Lafayette, La.; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
