  Obituary: Last Rites for Mrs. Cora Abke Held Thursday Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Jane Abke, 56, of Navasota, were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, from the chapel of the Lindley-Robertson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robin Guess, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Navasota, officiating. Interment was in the Wheat Cemetery at Millican, under the direction of the Lindley-Robertson Funeral Home. Mrs. Abke died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at her home at 703 Dickson Street. She was born on Dec. 6, 1907, in Millican, the daughter of Maudie L. Craig and George W. Greer. At the time of her death, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bryan. Her survivors include her husband, W.H. Abke of Navasota; three sisters, Mrs. Jack Mallard of Palestine, Mrs. Tony Sage and Mrs. Walter Webb, both of Navasota; five brothers, Charlie Greer of Millican, Tom Greer of Navasota, Steve Greer of Alvin, George Greer and Joe Greer, both of Houston. Pallbearers were Claude Jolly, Jr. of Anderson, Joe Greer, Ronnie Greer and Tony Lucario, all of Houston; Charles Greer of Millican and Jimmy DeWeese of Alvin.
