Notes - Obituary:
NAVASOTA - Services for Johnny C. Burkhalter, 71, of Millican are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
The Rev. O.L. Powell of Greater Christian Life Church will officiate. Burial will be in Peach Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Burkhalter died Saturday in College Station.
He was born in Texas and was retired as an auto parts salesman. He was a member of the Greater Christian Life Church and was a volunteer fire fighter in Millican.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Laura O. Burkhalter of Millican; two sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Mary Anne Fannette of Jacksonville and Ben and Fleeta Fannette of Millican; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Marie Fazzino of Millican, Kay and Bill Easterling of Bryan, Sarah and Bill McDaniels of Angleton, Vera and W.B. Carr of Willis, Billie Jo and Autrey Dixon of Navasota and Elaine and Clint Trncak of Tyler; two sisters, Elizabeth Mason of Fort Worth and Judy McDermont of Florida; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
