  Obituary: STEPHENVILLE - David Ward, 62, a peace officer, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at a Houston hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Stephenville. Box 20345, Houston, Texas 77225-0345 David was born May 19, 1939, in Texon. He spent most of his life in law enforcement and as a private investigator. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.
