JONESBORO - Jessie Dillard Hendrix, 83, retired salesman for Caldwell Velvet Ice Cream, died Tuesday at Geriatrics Nursing Center in Jonesboro. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Gregg Funeral Home with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. He was a World War II Army-Air Corps veteran. Mr. Hendrix, the widower of Della Dolores Hendrix, leaves two sons, Williams Hendrix and Phillip Hendrix, both of Jonesboro; two sisters, Helen Sweaney of Little Rock and Ruth Cole of St. Charles, Mo.; a brother, A.K. Hendrix of Jonesboro, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
