      WILLIAMS, Richard Hugh Richard (Dick) Hugh Williams, 64, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at University of Cincinnati Hospital. A Liberty native, he was born April 26, 1943, to Howell and Ruth Williams. Dick was a 1966 ROTC Military graduate from University Louisiana-Monroe. During his college years he was All-American in football and basketball. Dick enlisted with the Agentic General Corp and volunteered as Infantry Commander where he served two tours in Vietnam. He served in the US Army a total of 14 years as active and reserve. He was Purchasing Manager for Square D in Oxford, Ohio where he retired in 1998 after 25 years of employment. After retiring Dick and his wife, Regina, resided in Los Angeles, California and St. Augustine, Florida where they were members of St. Augustine Presbyterian Church. Dick loved music and actively sang in the church choir. He enjoyed the ocean and was an avid golf player. His enthusiasm for all sports was displayed throughout his life. He also assisted coaching for the UC football program. He was a member of the American Legion Post #122, Kiwanis and VFW. Dick will be remembered as a devoted husband, caring father and a loving grandfather. He enjoyed the long walks on the beach with his wife and cherished moments he spent with his grandchildren. Dick's devotion and the sacrifice made to serve and protect our country will be honored by many. His presence will be greatly missed by friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Regina Williams of Fairfield, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Cohn Moon of Alabama; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Misty (Rose) Williams of Brownsville; a step-daughter and spouse, Kari (Weaver) and Dave Czerniewski of Brentwood, CA; four grandchildren Jacob Gardner, Alexa Williams, Audrey and Jack Czerniewski; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Debbie Williams of Tyaskin, MD. Dick was preceded in death by his father and mother. Memorial services will be conducted at Rose Hill Burial Park in Hamilton, OH, at 2pm on Saturday, January 5, 2008. Webb Noonan Funeral Home is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brentwood Presbyterian Church, 12000 San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90049.
