- Obituary:
Reverend Myron Corser, of Irving, passed away January 2, 2012. He was born September 2, 1932 to Myron Merril Corser, Sr. and Sylva (Hucke) Corser in Mound Valley, Kansas. He was a minister for almost 59 years, 12 years as Assisting Minister at Joy Fellowship Foursquare Church in Irving. He is survived by his wife, Elaine and son, Mark Corser, both of Irving; daughters, Loyce Lackey and husband Mark of Midlothian, Melody Weatherby and husband James of Victorville, California, Connie Cantrell and husband Rick of Denton, TX and Jan Aldridge and husband Doug of Columbus, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Morgan, Tyler, Dusty, Austin and Hunter; brothers Rev. Robert Corser of Irving, Carl Corser of McDonald, Tennessee, Steven Corser and John Corser, both of Coffeyville, Kansas; sisters, Elaine McAfferty of St. Louis, Missouri and Karen Bliecher of Cherryvale, Kansas; and his aunt, Vivian Ruth Hucke of Cherryvale, Kansas. A funeral service is planned for 10:00 AM Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Brown's Memorial Chapel, officiated by Dr. Sidney Westbrook. Burial is planned for 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, Texas, officiated by Reverend Robert Corser. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 4, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
