James High, 75 of Odessa, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Hospice House.
He was born March 9, 1931, in Seymour, Texas, to Bernice and Etta High.
James moved to Odessa in 1981. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Gardendale. He was a very nice and friendly man, and was generous and thoughtful by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife Wilma High of Odessa, son, Billy Russell Clark of Salem, Oregon, brother, Daniel High and wife, Jeanette of Odessa, sister, Emajon Mayfield and husband Richard of Odessa, 2 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Also, several nieces, nephews, cousins and eight stepchildren that loved him very much.
A family visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2007, at Frank Wilson Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Monday, January 22, 2007, in Frank Wilson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Terry Easley and Ronny Kinney officiating.
Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery in Kermit, TX.
Memorials may be made to Hospice House in Odessa.
Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
