Notes - Obituary:
Services for William "Bill" Barnes, 63, of Odessa are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Vondell Drinkard officiating.
Burial is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday in Seagraves Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Beaver officiating.
Mr. Barnes died Thursday at his residence. He was born June 5, 1926, in Altus, Okla. He married Mattie Marie High May 15, 1960, in Altus.
Mr. Barnes lived in Odessa since 1965. He was a retired drilling superintendent for Pogo Producing Co. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Britt A. Barnes of Eagle Pass, William J. Barnes and Ronald D. Kinney, both of Seagraves; four daughters, Donna M. Brown of San Angelo, Sandra K. Huffman of Austin, Shirlee A. Clark of Mertzon and Marilan K. Pruitt of Grans, N.M.; a brother, Jack N. Barnes of Anaheim, Calif; two sisters, Hazle T. Cantrell of San Diego, Calif., and Mamie G. Spiva of Esparto, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
