  Obituary: Mrs. Collard's Funeral Set For Saturday Mrs. Mamie Christine Collard, 75, a resident of Bryan for 55 years, died Thursday at 1:55 p.m. after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Callaway-Jones Funeral Home where the body will repose until time for the service. She was born in Normangee, Leon County, February 4, 1882 and her parents were members of a pioneer family of that county. On November 4, 1902, she was married to W. S. Collard of Bryan and they made their home here where she became affiliated with the First Christian Church. She has been a member of that church for 55 years and has been active in all plans of the church especially participating in the organized woman's work, serving as president for several terms. The pastor, the Rev. Roy D. Holt, will conduct the service during which Lane Lynch, soloist, will sing "Under His Wings" and "Sweet Hour of Prayer" accompanied by Mrs. Imogene Nash Robertson, organist. Interment will be in the Bryan City Cemetery with the following friends serving as pallbearers: Dr. Carl Lyman, Dr. L. O. Gibbs, O. J. Moss, George E. Adams, Tom Brady and Ken Duncan. Listed as honorary pall bearers are E. L. Harter, Charlie Ball, A. C. Plasek, Dr. T. T. Walton, Dr. T. O. Walton, Jr. and members of the official board and officers of the First Christian Church. Mrs. Collard is survived by her husband, Will S. Collard, 711 S. Baker, Bryan; one daugh-Bryan; two grandsons, John K. Bryan; tow grandsons, John K. Carr, of Beaumont, and Lt. William Sidney Carr of San Angelo; four great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Nannie Collard of Fort Worth. (Published in The Bryan Eagle on January 10, 1958)
