  Obituary: John Carr Dies; Funeral Service Is Sunday Morn John K. Carr, age 44 years, 5 months and 7 days, died at the family home, 802 West 26th street, this morning at 11 o'clock, following a short illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at 9 o'clock from the Hillier Funeral chapel, with Rev. James S. Butler, rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal church as officiating minister, and the American Legion in charge. Interment will be made in the family lot in Bryan city cemetery. John K. Carr was born in Bryan, March 28, 1898, and was a son of the late Allen Carr, and wife, Mary Parker Carr. He had lived in Bryan all his life except for several years, spent in Dallas, where he was in insurance work with one of the leading Insurance Companies of that city. He was a world war veteran. He is survived by two sons, John K. Carr, Jr. and Sidney Carr, both of Bryan, and one brother, Allen P. Carr also of Bryan. (Published in The Bryan Eagle on September 5, 1942)
