Notes - Obituary:
Our beloved Jo Anna Carr Baker, age 87, was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 22, 2016 after a lengthy struggle following a massive stroke in 2013.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George B and Ruth R Wilcox. Jo Anna is survived by her loving husband Samuel H Baker: her children, Barton Carr, Larry Carr, Debra Carr and Ruth Carr-Wegman, numerous grand children and great grand children and her devoted dog, Winchester.
Jana grew up in College Station and graduated from Stephens College. Jana was an avid Aggie fan, golfer, and accomplished pianist. She played the old church hymns prior to the early church service.
Internment Service will be held at The Lakeway Church on Saturday October 29, 2016 at 10:30 am in the Garden area.
Memorials can be made to The Lakeway Church. The Baker family would like to express their extreme gratitude to Kim, Barbara, Carrie, Sylvia and Laura; the Caregivers who took such wonderful care of her.
