    • Obituary:

      EL CAMPO - John William Burstrom Jr., 55, of 313 S. Mechanic St., owner and operator of Johnny's Sport Shop, was pronounced dead on arrival at a Palacios hospital Saturday afternoon from an apparent heart attack occurred on a fishing trip.

      Mr. Burstrom was born June 1, 1921, in El Campo, and was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Coast Guard.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Nixon officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

      Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Blossom Burstrom of El Campo; two daughters, Mrs. Nan Lee Fenton of Houston and Mrs. Marian Dodd of Corpus Christi; his mother, Mrs. Otellia Stephenson of Houston and two grandchildren.
