Donald Gene Crow passed away at home surrounded by his family on March 27, 2018.
Don was born December 4, 1931 in Madill, Oklahoma. His family moved to Pasco in May 1946 where he grew up and graduated from Pasco High. In 1953 he married the love of his life Carol Ann Helgeson. They resided in Kennewick, were married for 65 years and together raised 4 beautiful children. He spent his life doing what he loved to do: digging in the dirt and helping to build the Tri-Cities. He worked many jobs through his life, including being in the Army Reserves and co-owning the excavation company Reco Co. in the 1970's. In 1988 he went to work for Ray Poland & Sons, from which he never officially retired! He loved fishing, race horses, watching golf, scratch tickets, yard sales, and EBAY, but most of all spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Carol, his daughter Kathleen Williams, his grandson AJ Steves, his parents Charles and Maggie Crow, his brother Toss and his sisters Madge, Theda, Millie, and JoAnn.
He is survived by his son Dan Crow and wife Carrie, daughters Becky Vandergriff, Marcy Crow and wife Roberta, and son-in-law Alan Williams. He has 5 grandchildren: Nicole Derryberry (husband Jeff), Maggie Burnett (husband Trevor), Candon, Cody (Felicia) and Kailei and 6 great-grandchildren: Justine, Camryn, Kyler, Noah, Tyler and Kinsley. He is also survived by his brother Charlie Crow, and sisters Helen Dorrego and Glenda Reigh. There are also numerous more relatives and friends that love him, including Dad's dearest best buddies Jim Roake, Gerald Allison, and Eddie Grant.
We also want to especially recognize all of our family and friends for the love and support through this hard time. To the Poland family, you are all so dear to us! Mike and Marti Greif, thank you for always being there for us! A special thanks to all the nurses and staff who have been wonderful, kind and patient in providing comfort and loving care for our father.
