  Obituary: Susan Manners November 9, 1944 - March 10, 2018 Susan Manners, a longtime resident of Durant, Oklahoma, left this life on Saturday March 10, 2018 at the age of 74. She was born on November 9, 1944 in Madill, Oklahoma to Grady Clarence ( Toss) and Mary Francis (Scribner) Crow. Susan married Haskel C. Manners, Jr. in Madill, Oklahoma on March 15, 1975 then they moved to the Durant, Oklahoma community. Susan was a member of the Community Christian Church. She was very creative and loved to paint. Susan was a hairdresser, she owned and operated her hair salon for 42 years. She had a bright, intelligent personality that made her popular with her Madill high school classmates who voted her Miss Madill High in 1961, along with football homecoming queen the same year. Susan enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Durant County Club Ladies Golf Association, and the Elk's Lodge Auxiliary. She liked traveling, and camping. Mrs. Manners is survived by her husband, Jr. Manners; son, Jeffrey Shawn Manners of Sulphur, Oklahoma; daughter, Jill Suzanne Payne and husband Curtis of Bells, Texas; grandsons, Connor Manners of Sherman, Texas and Canyon Payne of Bells, Texas; one brother; she is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Mrs. Manners was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Mary Crow. A memorial service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday March 17th at the Community Christian Church with Bro. John Kinsey and Pastor Ross Kirven officiating .In lieu of flowers and plants the family suggest memorials be made to Alzheimer's Research.
