    • Obituary:

GENDREAU, IDA MAE Age 75, of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013. Ida was born on December 3, 1937 in Lordsburg, NM. She is survived by her husband, Al Gendreau; children, Michael Gendreau of Mesa, AZ, Marie Gendreau of Albuquerque, Jeanne Padilla and Jeanne's husband, Mike Padilla of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Julian and Alexandra Padilla; brothers, James Snyder and Bob Snyder of Houston, TX, and her "meow-meow", Sammy. Ida loved to read, hike, walk, travel, and had an incredible thirst for knowledge. She was a true Christian, living her life for God, family and friends with honor and humility. She set a boundless standard of goodness, devotion and patience, and her gentle kindness taught us the essence of real love. Ida's favorite expression of "Yep, it's another beautiful day" serves as a constant reminder to celebrate and cherish each and every moment. The family would like to extend its sincerest thanks to Curtis and Carmen Hudson of Touched By a White Dove for their special loving care and support of Ida and her family. Services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church, 417 Palomas SE with a reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico, 215 Virginia St. SE, 87108.
