- Obituary:
David Paul Dool, 56, of Alvarado, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 in Burleson. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 29 at Wade Funeral Chapel in Hubbard with Rev. Clay Strawn and Pastor Ron Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard. Visitation will be 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. before the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
David was born December 2, 1962 in Corsicana to Woodrow Wilson Dool and Jewell Maybell (Thomas) Dool and was the youngest of 11 children. He was raised in Hubbard and was a 1981 graduate of Hubbard High School. David had a long career as certified meat cutter for Brookshire's in Corsicana and later H.E.B. and Albertson's grocery stores in the Fort Worth area. He loved his family dearly, enjoyed fishing, watching dirt track racing, loved to cook and grill outdoors and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He was member of First United Pentecostal Church of Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Mamie Louise Dool; two other sisters, Dorthy Ruth Murrell and Donna Kay Cook and one brother, Jack Dool.
Survivors include his son, Christopher Paul Dool of Waco; daughter, Lian Jewell Dool and fiancé, Colt Stevenson of Burleson; step-son, Samuel Clayton Darnell and wife, Dominque, of Fort Worth; two brothers, Jerry Lynn Dool and wife, Lanette of Monroe, Louisiana and Jimmy Louis Dool and wife, Tammy of Chandler; four sisters, Ann Kocian of LaGrange, Elizabeth Joyce Strawn of Hillsboro, Sarah Marie Mulkey of Kerens and Willie Mae Carrington of Irving; his girlfriend, Kelli Jones of Alvarado; the mothers of his children, Mary Dool (Chris' Mom) of Waco and Linda Mackey (Lian's Mom) of Fort Worth and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Dool, Jimmy Dool, Mike Freeman, Billy Strawn, Chris Livingston, Lewis J. Wilkins, Clarance Bull, Jason Dool, Colt Stevenson and Scotty Tenery.
The family requests that memorials be made to First United Pentecostal Church, P.O. Box 694, Hillsboro, Texas 76645.
