      Funeral Will Be Held Today For Guy R. Blanton

      Guy R. Blanton, 59, died at the family home near Navasota at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

      He was born in Brazos County March 3, 1898 and had lived in this county where he was a farmer and a rancher until five years ago.

      Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in Hillier Funeral Chapel with the Rev. A. F. Halbrooks, pastor of the Bright Light Free Will Baptist Church at Harvey, officiating. Burial will be in the Bright Light Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Tommy and Alton Hensarling, Frank Vavra and Albert Turek of Bryan, Orville Davis of Orange and Tony Sage of Navasota.

      Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora Jane Blaton of Navasota; his mother, Mrs. Mattie Blaton, Route 3, Bryan; four daughters, Mrs. W. A. Bienskie, Mrs. F. L. Barnes and Mrs. Brownell York of Bryan and Mrs. V. M. Degan of Killeen; one son Richard Edgar Blaton of Bryan; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ruth Hensarling, Route 3, Bryan and Mrs. R. B. Payne of Orange.
