  Obituary: Funeral services for Lonnie Gross, 76, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2006 at Second Baptist Church in Andrews with Rev. Kevin Covington, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. He passed away on Friday, November 17, 2006 at Home Hospice House in Odessa. He was born February 16, 1930 in Holiday, Texas to Bumon Johnson Gross and Claudia Irene Bryant Gross. He moved to Andrews in 1947 from Seagraves and married Cherry Lee Johnson on December 9, 1950 in Andrews. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Gross Garage in Andrews for 52 years. He was a founding member of the Andrews Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Second Baptist Church. He loved drinking coffee with his brother and friends at Buddy's Drive In; twice a day; every day. He was preceded in death by 1 son: Gary Lee Gross in 1972; his parents; and 5 brothers. He is survived by his wife: Cherry Gross of Andrews; 1 son: Rusty Gross of Andrews; 1 daughter: Robbie Hale of Andrews; 1 brother: James B. Gross of Andrews; 1 sister: Evelyn Bonham of Kermit; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
