      James Renz
      April 28, 1944 - October 16, 2017

      James "Jim" Otto Renz of Fort Stockton passed away Monday, October 16, 2017, in Fort Stockton at the age of 73 years.

      James was born on April 28, 1944, to Otto Herman Renz and Edith (Hanson) Renz Clifford "Tiny" in Pecos, Texas. He grew up in Balmorhea, Texas. He served in the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant E5 on May 29, 1969. He worked for Transwestern Pipeline/Enron until 1993.

      James is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Bonham) Renz; his sons, James Philip Renz of Fort Stockton, Gil Noe Romero Renz and wife Sonia Navarrete Quinones of Villa Aldama Chihuahua, Mexico; his half-brother, Scott Renz of Alpine; his Step brothers, Wade Gibson of Fuquay Varing, NC, Brian Gibson of Wink, Texas; his nephews, Robert Renz, Jesse Renz, James Renz; his niece, Jolie Renz; his grandchildren, Sonia Quinones Renz, Lesley Quinones Renz, Hillary Quinones Renz, Emely Quinones Renz.

      James is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Lee Renz; his aunt and uncle, Bob and Irene Whitaker and his numerous relatives and friends.

      Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Heritage Funeral Home, Fort Stockton, Texas. A Memorial service will held beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Heritage Funeral Home, Fort Stockton, Texas.
