    • Obituary:

      Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Marianna S. Dennis, 95, of Auburn will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Auburn Memorial Park. Dr. George Mathison will officiate.

      Visitation will be 12:30 till 1:30pm on Tuesday at Frederick's Funeral Home.

      Mrs. Dennis was born May 6, 1908 in Atlanta, GA, to the late Lee O. and Mary Moore Swain. She retired from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Dennis, MD.

      Survivors include two sons, Bill (Bettye) Dennis, Decatur, AL and Jeptha (Joan) Dennis of Warner Robins, GA; five grandchildren; Lee (Leona) Dennis, Decatur; Richard (Elizabeth "Liz") Dennis, Orlando, FL; Anna (Greg) Solomon, Tuscaloosa, AL; Leigh Ann (Chip) Manning, Huntsville, AL; Jaye Dennis, Atlanta, GA. Nine great-grandchildren, Marianna Dennis, West Palm Beach, FL; Will Dennis, Decatur, Al; Alex Dennis, Faith Dennis and Jordan Dennis all of Orlando, FL; Clark Solomon and Leigh Anna Solomon, both of Tuscaloosa, AL; Meg Manning and Trey Manning, both of Huntsville, Al. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Auburn United Methodist Church, in her memory.

      Frederick's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
