- Obituary:
McGREGOR - Services for Julie Bubert, 41, of McGregor will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in McGregor with the Rev. Steve Heyduck officiating.
Mrs. Bubert died Wednesday, Jan. 26, in Waco.
She was born in Seoul, Korea, to Joe and Sandra Davis Philbert. She graduated from Pendleton High School in Indiana.
She earned an associate's degree from McLennan Community College. She was employed by the Temple VA Hospital until retiring in 1997.
She married David Keith Bubert on April 14, 1990, in Las Vegas, Nev. She was a member of the Cornerstone Class and the First United Methodist Church of McGregor.
Survivors are her husband of McGregor; her father of Shoals, Ind.; her mother of Anderson, Ind.; a stepson, Steven Bubert of Tomball; a stepdaughter, Mindy Bubert of Waco; four brothers, Mark Philbert of Pendleton, Ind., Rodney Philbert of Terre Haute, Ind., Jeff Philbert of the U.S. Air Force; one sister, Dawn Mahoney of Anderson, Ind.; and one granddaughter.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 500 S. Madison Street, McGregor 76657 or the McGregor Ambulance Association in care of Frances Hudson, 311 S. Adams, McGregor 76657.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cole Funeral Home.
