Paul Edward Killam was born July 4, 1933 at Cape Girardeau, Mo., the son of Keith Edward and Bessie (Nicholson) Killam. He was united in marriage to Mary Baker, Aug. 14, 1949 at Clarinda. The couple were blessed with two children: Diane and Charles. He served in the US Military during the Korean War. Paul was the Des Moines Register District Manager for many years and farmed on the side.
Paul passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Alegent Health in Corning, following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Edward and both parents.
He is survived by his wife Mary of New Market; daughter Diane Kirsch and husband Dan of New Market; granddaughter Angie Tracy and husband Craig of Norwalk, and their children Colton and Austin, Tristan, Vivian, Kendra and Devon and granddaughter Michelle Schurman and husband Ken of Light House Point, Fla.
Private services for Paul Killam, 81 of New Market, will be held at the Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, Mo. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of SW Iowa - Corning, or SW Iowa Humane Society.
Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel of Clarinda is providing arrangements.
