Ora Barton Eaton, 87, of Jackson died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Southeast Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Ora "Bart" Eaton, 87, of Jackson passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Southeast Hospital.
He was born March 15, 1928, in Cutler, IL, son of Barton and Lue King Eaton. He and Ruth Vaughn Eaton were married December 7, 1952.
Bart was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Knights of Columbus in Jackson. He served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict. Bart was a member of American Legion Post 158 in Jackson. He retired in 1982 from Western Electric in Cicero, IL after 20+ years of employment. Upon retirement, Bart was active in square dancing with his wife, Ruth and enjoyed making wine. He was a member of NCHA.
Loving survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ruth; 4 children, Judy (Ron Dybell) Mahaffey of Jackson, Robert (Kim) Eaton of Selden, New York, Michael (Melissa) Eaton of Portland, OR and Helana Eaton of Jackson; sister, Billie Hallock of Iuka, Illinois; six grandchildren, one step-grandchild and one great step-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Patrick Allen Eaton, and a brother, Jim Eaton.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm Thursday, Jan 28, 2016 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson with Parish Prayers at 7 pm. The funeral service will be 10 am Friday, Jan 29, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson with Father John Harth officiating.
Interment will follow in Cutler Community Cemetery in Cutler, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception Church.
