Child Scalded in Accident At Home Here Dies

Burns suffered Friday morning by Doris Marguerite Tanner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Tanner, of this city, resulted in the child's death Friday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock.

The little girl, who was five years and four months of age, was accidentally burned by scalding water at the home of her parents, at 610 Clinton St.

Funeral services were held at the family home at 2:30 this afternoon, followed by interment in the Catholic cemetery at Broussard.

Besides the parents, one sister, Effie Mae, and one brother, Russell, survive.
