    Hazel Grace Marriott, 91, of Eldon, formerly of Versailles, died early Saturday morning, Nov. 29, 2008, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

    She was born Sept. 14, 1917, in Lebanon, Okla., to Edward and Ida Crow Vessels. On Feb. 8, 1946, she was married in Troy, Kan., to George Marriott, who died Dec. 26, 1996.

    The Marriotts made their home in Columbia for several years, where she worked in the Gerbes store. They later moved to Versailles and she lived there until moving to Eldon to be near her son and family. She was a member of the Eldon Church of the Nazarene.

    Surviving are four children and their spouses, Gary and Carole Marriott of Eldon, Gail Lynn and Wayne Overbeck of Columbia, Darvin Shue and Don Shue, both of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Kenneth Vessels of Durant, Okla.; a sister, Edna Mae Rorie of Durant, Okla.; six grandchildren, Erika Overbeck, Emily Fitzhugh and husband Jeff, Cassandra Miller and husband Will, Lance Marriott, Kimberly Robertson and husband Chris and Stacy Dunham and husband Jay; six great-grandchildren, Baily and Parker Dunham, Britton and Cooper Robertson, Emma Charles Miller and Devan Oberbeck.

    One son, Kenneth Shue, preceded her in death.

    Funeral services were held Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles with her nephew, the Rev. Jackie Moore, and the Rev. Jerry Frye officiating. Burial was in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles Cemetery.

    Don Shue of Lancaster, passed away suddenly on Jan. 30 at age 76. He was born Dec. 22, 1939. Don graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins high school where he met his beautiful wife of 55 years, Evelyn Ernst Shue. Don was a long-time Dallas Cowboy fan, serving as a ball boy at every home game for 30 years. He participated in various sports including softball in his younger years. One of his favorite pastimes was playing golf with his Son, Daughter, Grandkids, & many friends. After a successful 38 year career at Taylor Publishing, Don decided he wasn't ready for retirement. He then worked at Wal-Mart in Waxahachie for 12 years. Don and Evelyn are devout Christians and are members of First Baptist Lancaster. Don is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn; Grandchildren, Kendall Robinson, Dawn Shue, Chris & Tiffany Shue, Jordan & Miah Judd; Great-grandchildren, Summer, Kiley & Tomi; Son-in-Law, Sean Judd; Brothers, Darwin & Gracie Shue, David & Karen Shue. Preceded in death by Son, Tommy Shue; Daughter, Kristi Judd; Parents, Virgil & Edith Shue; Brothers, Kenny Shue & Lawrence Shue; Sister, Diane Dickerson.     Gary Nelson Marriott, 67, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at SSM Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born July 1, 1948 in Dallas, Texas the son of the late George and Hazel (Vessels) Marriott. On June 1, 1969 in Versailles, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Carole (Daniels) Marriott who survives of the home.

    He attended the University of Central Missouri from 1967-1969. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp Airborne serving from 1970-1973 in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Greece, Turkey Crete, Azores & Spain. He attended Central Methodist College from 1973-1975, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. He was assistant football coach and Physical Education teacher with the Eldon School System from 1977-1979, and was head football coach for the Tipton High School. From 1979-1992 he received his Master's Degree in Secondary Administration and Specialist Degree and was head football coach for the Eldon High School. From 1992-1999 he was Athletic Director; Assistant High School Principal, Eldon, MO; Middle School Principal, Eldon, MO; in 1999 he received his Doctoral Degree and was Regional Coordinator for William Woods University.

    A sister, Gail Overbeck and a niece, Emily Fitzhugh preceded him in death.

    A Memorial Service with Full Military Honors will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Eldon Middle School with Rev. Steve George officiating and a Visitation to follow from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

    Memorials in his name are suggested to the Gary Marriott Scholarship Fund in care of Central Bank of Eldon, MO.

    Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.

    Gail Overbeck, 64 of Columbia, MO passed away in her home on Tuesday, June 7th, 2016.

    Visitation will be on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

    Gail was born October 16th, 1951 in St Joseph, MO to George and Hazel (Vessels) Marriott. She graduated from David H. Hickman High School in 1971 and started working at Ellis Fischel Cancer Hospital as a dietary aide shortly after graduation. She met Wayne Overbeck and they were wed on March 2, 1974 in Parkade Baptist Church in Columbia, MO. Later, she transferred to University Hospital where she finished 38 years of services before retiring in 2011.

    Along with her husband of 42 years, she is survived by her youngest daughter, Erika, and soon to be son-in-law, Tylor Prentice, of Centralia; two grandsons, Deven and Jace of Centralia; one brother, Gary Marriott, and his wife, Carole, of Eldon. She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Emily Overbeck.

    SHUE, TOMMY DON, Went home to be with his Lord and Savior, August 4, 2006. He is survived by his children, Dawn, Chris, Brandon, Granddaughter: Summer, Parents: Don and Evelyn Shue of Lancaster, TX; Sister: Kristi and husband Sean Judd, Nephews: Kendall and Jordan of Ovilla, TX; Grandma: Bonnie Ernst and Edith Shue. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa: Virgil Shue and Emery Ernst, Uncles: Kenny Shue and Don Ernst. Tommy worked hard to provide for his family. He worked at Earthgrains for 25 years, working his way up from driving a bread truck to director of sales over areas of Il, IN and WI. Tommy was so proud of his children and granddaughter and loved them dearly. He was a great cook, loved to cook for his family, he could take anything in the refrigerator and make a delicious meal out of it. Tommy loved the state of Texas, and wanted to come back home. He was a big fan of the Rangers, Cowboys, Mavericks and Longhorns. He loved playing golf, but his favorite pastime was walking up and down the sidelines watching his son Chris play football and cheering him on. Oh what a joy and peace hes experiencing now. Tommy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Thursday August 10, 2006 from 6-8 P.M. at Green Funeral Home.     Loving wife, Mother, daughter, niece, cousin and friend, left this world too early at the age of 47 on November 4, 2013. Kristi was born in Dallas on March 15, 1966 and grew up in Lancaster. Preceded in death by brother, Tommy Shue; grandparents, Emery L. Ernst and Virgil & Edith Shue; uncles, Don Ernst, Kenny Shue, Lawrence Shue; aunt, Diane Dickerson.     ASHLAND - Emily Marie Fitzhugh of Ashland passed away December 28, 2013 at University Hospital & Clinics, she was 39 years old.

    Emily was born November 7, 1974 in Boone County, the daughter of Wayne and Gail Marriott Overbeck. She married Jeff Fitzhugh on February 13, 2008 in Fayette. She graduated from Hickman High School in 1994. Emily worked for Advantage Sales Marketing in Columbia as a demonstrator.

    Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Robinson Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Woodcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

    Survivors include her husband, Jeff Fitzhugh of Ashland; her son, Deven Overbeck of Ashland; her parents, Wayne and Gail Overbeck of Columbia; one sister, Erika Brady, husband Josh of Columbia; a nephew, Jace Brady of Columbia; and her mother-in-law, Twila Gilpin of Ashland.

    She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Hazel Marriott, and a brother-in-law, Matt Fitzhugh.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Contributions to The Deven Overbeck Education Fund in care of family.
