Obituary:

Mr. Cody Michael Brown, 18, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, from injuries sustained in an accident. He was a native of Milton, Fla., and a longtime resident of Brewton. He was of the Baptist faith, played football at W.S. Neal High School, a 2009 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and employed at the family business, Greg?s Tire and Wheel. He was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie McNew Brown; and his grandfathers, Mickey Brown and James McNew.

He is survived by his father, Greg Brown of Brewton; his grandmothers, Raye B. Brown of Brewton and Diane Prihoda of East Brewton; his step-mother, Rhonda Brown of Brewton; a stepsister, Brooke Parker; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
