    Obituary:

    Mr. Boland was born in Tampa, Florida on November 22, 1946 to Lois and Ralph Boland. He graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1972, honorably discharged with the rank of Petty Officer, First Class (E6).

    After leaving the Navy, Mr. Boland began a long and distinguished career with Colorado Springs Utilities, serving as a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for the Martin Drake Power Plant. He retired after working at the plant for 27 1/2 years.

    A man of deep faith, Mr. Boland was an active member of the Vista Grande Baptist Church, and he and his wife, Joy, were passionate about their involvement in a number of charitable organizations.

    He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mark and Bill.

    He is survived by his wife, Joy; daughters, Jennifer Boland (Ryan Meeker) and Catherine (Adam) Page; sister, Ann (Bill) Garner; and two granddaughters.

    Mr. Mark Alan Boland, 23, 545 N. Clara Ave., DeLand, died Saturday. He was born in El Paso, Texas. He was a student at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky. He was a Baptist and a deacon and teacher at Lyndon Baptist Church, Louisville. He was a member of MENSA International. Survivors: parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph M. Boland, DeLand; brothers, Charles M. and William R., both of Colorado Springs, Col., and sister, Ann Boland, Tuscaloosa, Ala. Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home, DeLand.
