    Obituary:

    John Lee Kubena Jr.
    June 16, 1964 - May 1, 2024
    Caldwell, TX

John Lee Kubena Jr., a beloved husband, father, son, sibling, and friend, who departed from this world on May 1, 2024, in College Station. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

John was born on June 16, 1964, in Houston. Throughout his life, John found joy in simple pleasures such as fishing, reading, studying his bible, and tinkering with various projects.

One of John's proudest accomplishments was his enduring marriage to Loretta Kubena. Their bond stood as a testament to love and dedication through all of life's ups and downs. John's commitment to his family was unwavering and his memory will forever remain etched in their hearts.

John leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in the hearts of his surviving family members: his dear wife Loretta Kubena; son Daniel Kubena and wife Sarah; daughter Ashley Kubena and partner Vinny Briones; sisters Sharon Kubena, Lydia Stone and husband Danny, Lora Kubena and partner Chris Burditt; as well as grandchildren Erin Kubena, Jaxon Kubena, Lyra Hawthorne, Kobe Briones, Jace Briones; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In the embrace of eternity, John is reunited with his parents and his son John Lee Kubena III. May they find peace in each other's presence beyond the realms of our earthly existence.

The visitation for John will take place on May 3, 2024 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service on May 4th at 11:00 AM. Let us gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable individual who touched our lives in unforgettable ways.

John Lee Kubena Jr. will be remembered not only for the love he shared but also for the kindness that emanated from his very being. May he rest in peace knowing that he has left an indelible mark on all those he encountered during his time among us.
