James was born on October 9, 1993, to David and Melissa Crow in Waco, Texas. Moving to Brownwood at 9 months, Brownwood was truly his home. He attended Brownwood ISD and graduated in 2012 with honors. During his childhood and teen years, he was usually found at the baseball field surrounded by friends. He proudly played baseball and football for the Brownwood Lions. He was the recipient of numerous baseball and football accolades. James went on the earn his Bachelor of Science in Finance at Howard Payne University, while playing baseball there until his health would no longer allow. James then earned his Master of Business Administration at Howard Payne in May 2018. While at HPU he earned several academic honors as well.

One week after completing his bachelor's degree, he married the love of his life, Hanna Sweatman Crow. Together they enjoyed many priceless moments that will forever be cherished.

Upon completing his bachelor's degree, James joined the Citizen?s National Bank family. He was employed there as a Loan Officer until his passing. In this role, James experienced many new things and met some amazing people who he held dear to his heart.

When not working, James enjoyed time with family and dear friends, attending most any sporting event, especially a good baseball game but according to James ?there were no bad baseball games?. He loved attending social events in the community and just getting to know people, especially when there was old country music to be experienced. He was never seen without a smile that would light a room!

James had an unwavering faith as he fought leukemia with grace and tenacious courage; he was truly an inspiration. James would tell you he was more blessed than he deserved.

James is survived by his wife, Hanna Crow; parents, David and Melissa Crow; grandparents, Ronnie and Linda Johansen of Valley Mills, TX, Nancy Crow of Colorado City, TX, and Cecil and Sue Crow of Colorado City, TX; mother-in-law, Nola Sweatman of Austin; sister-in-law, Paige McLain and husband Douglass of Marble Falls; niece and nephew, Emerson and Jackson McLain; grandparents, Delton and Cheri Sweatman of Zephyr; aunts and uncles: Jennifer and Jon Seamanski, Julie and Robert Mercado, Laurie and Dondi Camp, Tracy and Miki Klempa. He is also survived by a host of cousins and several extended family members. James also leaves behind an amazingly large group of friends and coworkers who meant so very much to him.

He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, James and Dell Johansen, Gerald and Zoe Northup, Verlon and Caroline Dukes, and Claude and Clara Crow; and father-in-law, Troy Sweatman.

In lieu of flowers if you wish to send memorials, the family has chosen two organizations donations can made to in James' memory.
