Last Rites For C.J. Petitjean

Funeral services have been tentatively set for 2 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Iberia for C.J. Petitjean, 58, who died Wednesday morning at 2 p.m. at his home in New Iberia.

Burial will be in the church mausoleum.

Mr. Petitjean was a native of Rayne and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. He has resided in New Iberia for over 30 years.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Hilda Petitjean of Rayne; his wife, the former Ernestine Richard of Rayne; one daughter, Sylvia Petitjean of New Orleans; one son, Ronnie Petitjean of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Jeanette Stokley of Crowley; Marcelle Bellue of Baton Rouge and Claudia Peltier of Rayne and two brothers, John Allen Petitjean of Conroe, Texas and Donald Petitjean of Rayne.

Mr. Petitjean was an active member of the 4th Degree Knights, a deacon at his church and was a large supporter of Catholic High School of New Iberia.
