    DEATH OF YOUNG LADY
    From Friday's Daily Eagle

    Miss Winnie Lee Greer, age 17, adopted daughter of F.M. Arnold of Wellborn, died at the family home at that place yesterday. She was a well known church member of that community and leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss. The remains were interred yesterday afternoon in Wellborn cemetery.

    Betty Greer Jones

    Funeral services for Betty Greer Jones, 86, of Bryan will be at 2 p.m. today at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.

    Officiating will be the Rev. John Boyle of First Baptist Church in Wellborn. Burial will be in Peach Creek Cemetery near College Station.

    Mrs. Jones died Tuesday morning in a local hospital.

    A native of Brazos County, Mrs. Jones was a lifelong resident of Bryan and Wellborn. She was a homemaker, a rancher and a member of First Baptist Church in Wellborn.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude S. Jones, in 1970.

    Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mildred and Jack Conrad of Bryan; five grandchildren and their spouses, Bill and Tammy Conrad, Susan and John Prihoda, K.C. and Belle Conrad, and John and Karen Conrad, all of Bryan, and Linda and James Shepard of Kennard; six great-grandchildren; and a faithful friend, Edna Hinton of Wellborn.

    Services for Mildred Conrad-Seddon, 76, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

    The Rev. Duane DeWald of the Zion Church of Kurten will officiate. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery in Tabor.

    Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Conrad-Seddon died Sunday at her home.

    She was a lifelong resident of Brazos County. She was raised in Wellborn and graduated from A&M Consolidated High School. She was a homemaker and worked over 56 years for a local Dodge dealership in Bryan, serving three different ownerships, prior to her retirement in September 2004. She was a member of the Shiloh Club in Bryan, the VFW Post 4692 Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 159 Auxiliary and the S.P.J.S.T. She was a member of the Wellborn Baptist Church.

    She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd "Jack" Conrad.

    Survivors include her husband, John Seddon of the Tabor community; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bill and Tammy Conrad and K.C. "Pee Wee" Conrad, all of Kurten, and John T. and Dana Conrad of Tabor; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and James Shepard of Kennard and Susan Prihoda of Kurten; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

    Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Brazos Valley Unit, 3207 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan, Texas 77802-3016.

    Obituary:

    Kenneth "Peewee" Conrad, 64, of Bryan passed away September 9, 2021 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral services are scheduled for September 12, 2021 at 1pm at Alexander Cemetery.

    Peewee was born January 31, 1957 in Bryan. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed all things outdoors including hunting, fishing, gardening, farming and ranching. You could often find him playing in pool, domino, and card tournaments, and also singing karaoke. When he was young, he liked to rodeo with his buddies and ride bulls.

    He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His granddaughters would always brighten his day.

    Peewee was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Mildred Conrad and his brother John Conrad.

    He is survived by his son, Jake Conrad and wife Casi, daughter Wacey Conrad, and son Shane Conrad; granddaughters Kinsley Conrad and Blakely Conrad; sisters Linda Shepard and husband James, Susan Prihoda; and brother Bill Conrad and wife Tammy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

    We would like to say a very special Thank You to the Matthews family for being by Peewee's side for years.

    In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Hospice Brazos Valley.

    John Thomas Conrad, 47, of Bryan passed away Thursday February 17 at his ranch in Brazos County. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday February 21 at Zion Church of Kurten. Interment will follow at Alexander Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

    John was born June 22, 1963 in Bryan. He owned and operated Conrad's Custom Lawn Service in Bryan and was a rancher. John was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved being outdoors. He loved watching his daughter show her horses and was very proud of her and everything she did. He had a great love for his wife and daughter and was a good friend to many. Friends of John had quoted, "He was a one of a kind". John was Baptist in faith.

    John is preceded in death by Floyd and Mildred Conrad and Luther Cobb.

    He is survived by his wife, Dana Conrad of Bryan; daughter, Whitney Conrad of Bryan; sisters and brothers, Linda Shepard and husband James of Kennard, Bill Conrad and wife Tammy, Susan Prihoda and Kenneth "Peewee" Conrad all of Kurten; stepbrother, Billy Miller and wife Elaine of Wellborn; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Doris Roehling of Brenham; sisters-in-law, Debbie Schroeder and husband Troy, Doretta Batts and husband Leroy all of Brenham; special family friend, J Barnwell; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

    In lieu of flowers, a college fund has been set up for John's daughter. Memorials may be made to the Whitney Conrad College Fund, The Bank & Trust, P.O. Box 5847, Bryan, Texas 77805.
