    Expression Of Sympathy

    We, the Resolution Committee of Lodge No. 186, Caldwell, in behalf of our entire membership, wish to express our sincere sympathy to the bereaved family of our departed lodge sister,

    JULIA B. SEBESTA,

    died at 8:40 a.m. December 20, in Hayes County Hospital in San Marcos, following a brief illness.

    Sister Sebesta was born January 21, 1904 in Burleson County, the daughter of the late John and Francis Surovik Bravenec.

    A resident of Burleson County all her life living in the San Antonio Prairie community, she was a homemaker and a member of the Caldwell Brethren Church.

    Sister Sebesta was married to Joe Frank Sebesta Sr., November 26, 1925 in the Caldwell Brethren Church. He preceded her in death March 17, 1983.

    Funeral services for Sister Julia Bravenec Sebesta, 80, of Route 1, Caldwell, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 25 in the Caldwell Brethren Church with the Rev. Daniel Marek of Temple officiating. Interment was in the San Antonio Prairie Cemetery.

    Survivors include four sons: Joe F. Sebesta Jr. of Pleasanton, Rev. Dr. Robert J. Sebesta of San Marcos, Rev. Dr. David J. Sebesta of Slidell, Louisiana, Rev. Dr. Daniel R. Sebesta of Graham; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; four sisters, Vlasta Bravenec of Caldwell, Agnes Gavenda of Burbank, California, Lottie Wichita of Temple, Annie Mason of Dickinson and several nieces and nephews.

    Serving as pallbearers were Elders of the Caldwell Brethren church; Henry Valigura, Ben F. Trcalek, Leo E. Maresh, Joe W. Kristof, Wilton J. Marek, Clarence C. Wolbrucek and John W. Kostohryz.

    May our departed sister rest in eternal peace.

    Joe Frank Sebesta of Pleasanton, Texas passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000 at the age of 72.

    He was born May 26, 1928 in the town of Caldwell, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Melva Lou McCaughn Sebesta of Pleasanton, and a daughter, Grace Littlefield, of Angleton, Texas.

    Visitation will be Wednesday, November 22, 2000 from 2:00-8:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Texas.

    Services will be Friday, November 24, at 10:00 AM at United Methodist Church in Pleasanton, Texas. Burial will follow the service at the Amphion Cemetery near Poteet, Texas.

    The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the following:

    Danna Mary Sebesta passed away on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019.

    Her lifelong Christian faith expressed in the Presbyterian Church will be celebrated in a memorial service at the First Presbyterian Church in Kerrville on Monday, Aug. 19, 2019 at 4 p.m.

    She was the daughter of Dr. Daniel R. Sebesta and the late Carol Sullivan Sebesta who passed away in 2002. Danna has a daughter, Michelle.

    Danna was born in Big Spring, Texas on May 4, 1968. Her childhood and youth were spent in Graham, Texas where she graduated from Graham High School. She later completed cosmetology studies in San Marcos, Texas. Moving to Ft. Worth, Texas in marriage, she later came with her family to live in Kerrville.

    Danna found much pleasure in music, singing with her brothers and father, mostly in church settings. One of her great pleasures was spending a week in the Davis Mountains in West Texas at the annual Bloys Cowboy Camp Meeting where she attended annually from her infancy. She had keen interest in Biblical studies, frequently calling her minister father to clarify and discuss issues she confronted in her readings.

    Danna is survived by her daughter, Michelle Sebesta, who resides at the Hill Country Youth Ranch near Ingram, her father, Dr. Daniel R. Sebesta and step-mother, Marsha McCoy-Sebesta of Kerrville.

    Memorial gifts are suggested for Hill Country Youth Ranch, Ingram, Texas.

    John David Sebesta
    November 20, 1961 - September 16, 2015

    John David Sebesta, 53, of Kingsport passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at his residence in Kingsport. Born on November 20, 1961 in Shreveport, LA, he was the son of David John Sebesta and Harriet Simmons Sebesta.

    John was an avid food fanatic who had a passion to grill. He loved New Orleans Saints football and the LSU Tigers. He enjoyed playing golf and was a hard worker who left an impression on everyone he met.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Lynn Sebesta.

    He is survived by his children, Joshua Sebesta, Nicole Stapleton and Amanda Greene; his parents, David John and Harriet Simmons Sebesta; sister, Holly (Heather) Sebesta; brother, Lane (Laurie) Sebesta; grandchildren, Dilynna (his bookie poo) Stapleton, Alexis Snow and Chase Snow; and his dog, Harley.
