    Obituary:

    Sherry passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the age of 71.

    She retired from Iberville Parish School System after 25 years; was a resident and native of White Castle, La.

    Visiting will be at First Baptist Church, 24525 Ory St. Plaquemine, La 70764 on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 9am until religious services at noon, conducted by Pastor Keith Horton.

    Interment will follow at First Baptist Church White Castle Cemetery, White Castle.

    She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 53 years, E. L. Gueho; son, Bobby Gueho and wife Kelli; brother, Bill Simmers and wife Trudy; brother in law, James "Jr" Gueho and wife Carolyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Preceded in death by her parents, Harry, Sr and Mary Crow Simmers; and brothers, Harry and James Simmers.

    Pallbearers will be Marty Gueho, Ronnie, Zack, Rusty and James "Simco" Simmers, and Jack Franklin.

    Honorary pallbearers will be Fry Hymel, John "Weed" Bush, John Evans, Doug Coleman, Billy and Mike Simmers, and Andrew Dunn.

    Sherry was active in her church, First Baptist Church of Plaquemine where she was the secretary for 10 years. Sherry and E.L. were faithful followers of all W.C.H.S. sporting events where they went to High School together. She was a member of the LSU track official assoc. and was inducted into the LSU Track and Field Officials Hall of Fame in 2006.
