    NAVASOTA - Services for Vera Fannett Carr, 74, of Willis are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

    The Rev. O.L. Powell of Greater Christian Life will officiate. Burial will be in Wheat Cemetery in Millican.

    Mrs. Carr died Thursday in Conroe.

    She was born in Peach Creek and was a member of Greater Christian Life. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.

    Survivors include her husband, William B. Carr Jr. of Willis; two sons, Walter Ryder and William Darrell Carr, both of Willis; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Jimmy Fridel of Millican; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Andy and Mary Fannett and Ben and Fleeta Fannett, all of Jacksonville; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Marie Fazzino of Millican, Kay and Bill Easterling of Bryan, Billie Jo and Autrey Dixon of Navasota and Elaine and Clint Trncak of Tyler; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

    William Darrell Carr, age 46 of Conroe, Texas, passed away January 18th 2016 in Henderson, Texas.

    Visitation will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis on Friday, January 22nd 2016 from 6pm to 8pm.

    Funeral Services will be at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, January 23rd 2016 at 10am.
    Burial will be at 2pm at Willis Cemetery.

    Darrell was born in Conroe, Texas to William (W.B) Carr and Vera Fannett Carr on January 4 th 1971. He attended Willis High School and graduated in 1990. He was involved with his local church. He enjoyed being with his children, fishing, and carpentry work.

    Darrell is preceded in death by his father W.B Carr, mother Vera Fannett Carr and brother Clyde.

    Darrell is survived by his brother Walter "Buster" Ryder; sister Sherry Fridell; children Andrea Jacks of San Augustine, Whitney Miles Carr of Willis, Madgeline Carr of Willis, William Carr of Henderson, Kaylee Carr of Henderson; Grandchildren Jake Epps of San Augustine, Brighton Jacks of San Augustine, Brylee Jacks of San Augustine, Skilah Cordova of Willis; Nephews Justin Ryder of Porter, Wesley Muth of Millican, Shane Muth of Millican; and Nieces Michelle Ryder of Dallas, Rebecca Ryder of LA, Kimberly Fridell of College Station.

    Ms. Kimberly Michelle Fridel, 50 of Millican, TX, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. A service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM, in Wheat Cemetery with Rev. Glen Whitmire officiating. Fellowship will immediately follow at Millican Community Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

    Kim was born in Bryan, TX to James and Sherry Fridel of Millican. She was blessed with two beautiful boys, Cameron and Cade Phillips. These boys were her world. She loved spending quality time with her boys, family and friends. She loved watching movies and listening to music.

    She is preceded in death by both her father, James Fridel and son, Cade Phillips.

    Left to cherish her memories, her mother, Sherry Fridel; son, Cameron Phillips; brothers, Richard Fridel and his wife, Kelley, Wesley Muth, and Shane Muth and his wife, Kimberly; sister, Pamela Cantu and her husband Ernest; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

    Funeral services for Cade Marshall Phillips, age 12, will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, December 29, 2017 at Ephesus Baptist Church near Jewett, Texas. Pastors Dwain Pollard & Ray Payne will officiate, and interment will follow in the Gum Springs Cemetery outside of Flynn, Texas in rural Leon County. A visitation will be held from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Thursday, December 28th at the church.

    Cade Marshall Phillips was born on August 26, 2005 in Bryan, Texas to Paul Marshall Phillips and Kim Fridel. He grew up in the Brazos Valley and was currently a sixth grader in Nomangee Middle School in Normangee, Texas. Cade loved football. He was a member of the Leon County Football Association 12-U football team. Donning the number 44 "Lightning" football jersey, he played the positions of full back, tight end and line backer. When Cade was on the field he was in his element and was a pleasure to coach. Ever the inquisitive and venturesome young man, Cade never wanted to miss out on any type of excursion or undertaking. He was more than willing and ready to go at a moment's notice, born with a robust sense of adventure. Cade had accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at a young age and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flynn, Texas. He passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 in a Houston, Texas hospital. Cade was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Fridel.

    Surviving family members include father, Paul Phillips (Brittany) of Normangee; mother, Kim Fridel of Welborn; brothers, Cameron Phillips and Bryce Phillips; sister, Carleigh Miller; paternal grandparents, Brandye Smith (Whitney) and John Phillips (Shelley) and maternal grandmother, Sherri Fridel. Cade is also survived by aunts, Courtney Harris (Andrae); Pam Cantu (Ernest) and Madeleine Phillips; uncles, Wesley Muth, Richard Fridel and Shane Muth (Kim), as well as, numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

    In lieu of flowers, the Phillips family requests that memorial donations be made to an account set up in Cade's name at any local Wells Fargo Branch.
