    Funeral services for Mr. Laurent Gautreaux, 80, will be held Thursday (time pending) in St. Landry Catholic Church here with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park.

    Mr. Gautreaux, a retired farmer and carpenter of Opelousas, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Opelousas General Hospital following a short illness.

    Survivors include his wife, the former Isabelle Miller of Opelousas; two sons, Paul Gautreaux of Opelousas and John Gautreaux of Sunset; two daughters, Mrs. Edmond (Jeanette) Thibodeaux, Jr. and Mrs. Joseph H. (Allee) Ray, both of Opelousas; a sister, Mrs. Pierre (Gertrude) Bellard of Crowley; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

    The Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on N. Main Street in Opelousas is in charge of arrangements.

    Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Alle Gautreaux Ray, age 80, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010 in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park cemetery. The Reverend Paul Bienvenu will celebrate the Mass.

    Mrs. Ray, who was a resident of Opelousas, died on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 3:10 a.m. in the Homer Memorial Hospital.

    She was a homemaker and had a green thumb that would make anything that she planted thrive. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

    Survivors include two sons, Darrell J. Ray of Highlands Ranch, CO. and Philip Ray and wife Barbara of Port Royal, S.C.; two daughters, Jane Newsom and husband Stanley of Sarepta, LA. and Clara McKee and husband Tim of Inola, OK.; a sister, Jeanette Thibodeaux of Opelousas five grandchildren, Valerie McKee, Matthew McKee, Jared Newsom and wife Jessica, Lance Newsom and wife Jennifer and Chad Newsom and wife Robbi; five great grandchildren, Clara, Emma, Jackson, Landon and Logan Newsom.

    She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Harold Ray; parents, Laurent and Isabelle Miller Gautreaux; three brothers, John "Brother" Gautreaux, Paul "T-Boy" Gautreaux, and Bell Lawrence "Toby" Gautreaux.

    Visitation will be held in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 2:00 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

    Grand Coteau - Funeral services for Mr. John E. Goutreaux, age 75, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Catholic Church, Grand Coteau. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Mausoleum.

    Father James Lambert, SJ will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.

    John was a native of Lewisburg, La. and was a longtime resident of Sunset, La. He died on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas.

    Mr. Goutreaux was the manager of the Food Preservation Lab at Sunset High School, a division of the St. Landry Parish School System until his retirement. John was a first responder for the Sunset Volunteer Fire Department he served as the assistant Chief and SecretaryTreasurer of the Fire Department. John was a life time member of the La. State Firemans Association served as the Civil Defense Director for the Town of Sunset served in the La. National Guard for 8 years was chosen as the Man of the Year and received the Distinguished Service to Mankind Award from the Sunset Sertoma Club but his greatest treasure was being a good husband, father, grandfather and friend. John enjoyed working in his garden, going fishing, camping and cooking and eating with his family and friends. One of his greatest loves was being a part of the St. Charles choir and singing in Church. John is going to be missed by all that loved and knew him.

    Survivors include his wife, Mary Nelwyn "Nellie" Devalcourt Goutreaux; daughters, Jonell G. Guidry and husband James of Sunset, Charisse G. LeBlanc and husband Bobby J of LaPorte, TX; sisters Allee Marie Ray of Sarepta, La., Jeanette Thibodeaux and husband Edmond of Opelousas; grandchildren, Lainie LeBlanc Ramon, Andre LeBlanc and Bobby J. LeBlanc, Jr. and 3 great grandchildren.

    John was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Isabelle Miller Goutreaux brothers, Bell Lawrence "Toby" Goutreaux and Paul "T-Boy" Goutreaux.

    Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Sunday, April 25, 2010, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Monday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until time of service A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening in the funeral home.

    Opelousas - Funeral services for Jeanette G. Thibodeaux will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. The Reverend Austin Leger will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.

    Mrs. Thibodeaux, age 79, who was and native and resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Friday, February 05, 2016.

    Jeanette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved life and laughter. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Pokeno with friends and treasured the special times when she was together with her husband and children. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

    Survivors include her husband, Edmond Thibodeaux, Jr; son Karl Thibodeaux; daughters, Karleen Kaiser and husband Wade, Vanessa T. Ortego and Sandra T. Ryder and husband Mike; great aunt, Irene Guillory; grandchildren, Kiley Bartsch and husband Eric, Charley Ryder, Chelsey Jolivette and huband Josh, Tyler Thibodeaux, Taylor Thibodeaux, Chad Ortego, and Dylan Ryder, as well as 12 great grandchildren.

    She is preceded in death by her parents, Isabelle and Lawrent Gautreaux; 3 brothers, John, Paul, and Toby Gautreaux; a sister, Alie Ray.

    Pallbearers will be Dylan Ryder, Chad Ortego, Josh Jolivette, Karleen Kaiser, Sandra Ryder, and Kiley Bartsch. James Guidry will be an honorary pallbearer.

    Visiting will begin on Friday, February 05, 2016 in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas from 5:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Rosary by Reverend Austin Leger. Visiting will resume on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until service time.

    OPELOUSAS - Funeral services for Paul Gautreaux, 51, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church here with burial following in the Bellevue Memorial Park.

    Mr. Gautreaux, a native of Lewisburg and resident of Opelousas, died at 4:50 p.m. Friday at Doctors' Hospital in Opelousas following a short illness.

    He was retired from the Opelousas Police Department and was a member of Hope, Hook and Ladder Company, Louisiana State Fireman's Association, Louisiana Peace Officers Association, Municipal Peace Officers Association, Woodmen of the World Camp 47, and the National Rifle Association.

    Survivors include one son, Lance Mark Gautreaux, of Opelousas; two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Amy) Lafleur, of Carencro and Mrs. Chad (Paula) Soileau, of Aiea, Hawaii; one brother, John Gautreaux, of Sunset; two sisters, Mrs. Edmond (Jeanette) Thibodeaux, and Mrs. Harold (Allee) Ray, both of Opelousas, and one grandchild.

    Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 10 p.m. Sunday and from 7 a.m. till time of service on Monday. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.

    Funeral services for B. Lawrence "Toby" Gautreaux, 27, of 823 Rose Ann St., Opelousas, were held at 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Landry Catholic Church. Burial was in Bellevue Memorial Park under direction of the First National Funeral Home.

    Gautreaux was electrocuted Friday morning in an accident at United Packers, Dr. A.E. Williams, St. Landry Parish coroner, said.

    Gautreaux suffered an electric shock about 10:45 a.m. at the plant. He was pronounced dead two hours later at St. Landry Clinic.

    James Pitre, manager of United Packers, said the accident occurred while Gautreaux was on a ladder working on wiring in one of the canning rooms at the plant.

    Gautreaux is survived by his widow, the former Jeralyn Reed, and one daughter, Sonia Kay Gautreaux, both of Opelousas; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Laurent Gautreaux; and two sisters, Mrs. Harold Ray of Opelousas and Mrs. Edmon Thibodeaux of Houma.
