    George Romph Walker, 61, of 924 El Rado st., Coral Gables, died Friday.

    Mr. Walker moved here from Titusville 42 years ago. He founded a grocery in downtown Miami and later became affiliated with the South Atlantic Mortgage Co. as head of the mortgage department. He retired in 1946.

    He leaves his wife, Sarah; two sons, John R., and George R. Walker, Jr.; three daughters, Mrs. Juanita Thompson, Mrs. Grace M. Dunagan, and Mrs. Libby Mathews, and 10 grandchildren, all of Miami. Two brothers and a sister also survive.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Tracy funeral chapel, with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

    GEORGE R. WALKER Jr., 87, of South Brunswick Township, a lifetime resident of Miami, Florida. He was a self employed Real Estate Broker and Developer. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed water skiing and boating.

    He was a member of the Coral Gables United Methodist Church of Coral Gables, FL.

    Son of the late George R. and Sarah Walker, Husband of the late, Jane Hanna Kahler Walker.

    Survived by two daughters: Barbara J. King of Monmouth Junction, NJ., Sally A. KirkPatrick of Pointe Vedra Beach, Florida.

    Two sisters: Juanita Thompson of Miami, Florida, Grace Dunagan of High Springs, Florida.

    One brother: John R. Walker of Boca Raton, Florida three granddaughters. Several nieces, nephews.

    A Memorial Service will be held Friday 10AM at the Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Avenue, Princeton, NJ. Service will be conducted by Rev. David Mertz. Affiliated with Princeton United Methodist Church. Mr. Walker's Ashes will be scattered over the Atlantic Ocean.

    THOMPSON, JUANITA E., 91, passed away February 17, 2009. She was preceded by her husband, Tommie Thompson, and is survived by her son Thomas G. Thompson (Beverly) and granddaughters Dawn (Albert Cabrera) and Bree (Jose Bofill) and five great grandchildren Tommy, Tyler, Samuel, Nicholas, and Riley.

    Juanita loved living in Coral Gables with her many friends, adoring husband and son.

    A memorial service will be held in the chapel at East Ridge Retirement Village on Saturday February 21, 2009 at 3:30 PM.

    WALKER, JOHN RANDALL, 86, died Wednesday, December 19, 2007. He was at home and died peacefully in his sleep while surrounded by his loving family. John, a third generation Floridian, was born in Miami in 1921. He served his country with pride and humility as a Technical Sergeant in the Aleutian Islands during World War II. He worked tirelessly for Graybar Electric Company from 1952 to 1984, but always made time with his family, the centerpiece of his life. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Ann, his daughters Janet Parker, Merrilee Walker, Kathleen Glickman, and Susan Barrows; his sons-in-law Larry, Raymond, Tommy; his six grandchildren Chahine, her spouse Jere, Jacob, Eric, Kristen, Brian, and Rachel; and his four great-grandchildren Sierra, Reed, Alexander, and Cody. John was an avid gardener and golfer, a superb cook, and an amateur painter who prided himself on being active and involved with those around him. He celebrated his devotion and love for his family with everything he did, from camping trips and home- cooked meals to his yearly role as Santa Claus. His honesty and integrity made him our teacher and inspiration; his warmth, humor, and boyish grin made him our joy. He gave his love and trust without reservation and inspired love and trust in all those who knew him. In accordance with his wishes, his family will spread his ashes "over God's green earth" and gather to honor his memory. He will be missed.     Jacqueline "Jackie" Rogers, 77, longtime local resident departed this life Sunday April 16th at E.T York Care Center following an extended illness. She was born in Coral Gables, having moved to this area twenty-one years ago from West Palm Beach. She was a Para Legal by profession. She and her husband Jerry are members of First United Methodist Church of High Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jackson P and Grace Walker Dunagan.

    Survivors include; her husband Jerry Rogers of Fort White and two sons; Jerry Tankersley of Fort White, Craig (Laurie) Tankersley of Hendersonville, Tennessee. A daughter: Cindy (Walter) Silverstein of Vero Beach, one grandson: David (Jennifer) Yates, and two great grandchildren, Dylan and Madison Yates.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday April 22 at First United Methodist Church of High Springs. Interment will be in the High Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday April 21, 5:00- 6:00 pm at Evans-Carter Funeral Home in High Springs (386-454-2444).
